Company overview Bluegiga Technologies is the world’s leading provider of Bluetooth-based Access Solutions and Bluetooth OEM modules. The company was founded in 2000 in Finland and has a sales office in Boston, MA, USA. Bluegiga has an extensive network of qualified distributors and value-added resellers in more than 60 countries. With the support of the distributors, Bluegiga has been able to deliver its products worldwide to original equipment manufacturers, teleoperators and system integrators. Products offered Bluegiga products are integrated as far as possible. The products include all needed elements - from the Bluetooth antenna to high-level Bluetooth software meeting the most demanding requirements of world class enterprise. Bluegiga offers two product categories: Bluetooth Access Servers and Bluetooth OEM Modules. Bluegiga Access Servers and Access Points are widely used from mission critical applications to Bluetooth marketing applications. Bluegiga Access Servers support multiple communication standards including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and GSM/GPRS enabling full media-independent TCP/IP connectivity. Bluegiga Access Servers are easy to deploy and manage in existing wired and wireless networks without compromising reliability, speed or security. The device can be conveniently managed and remotely upgraded over encrypted links using Bluegiga Solution Manager Software. The Access Point is a smaller version of the Access Server. Bluegiga’s extensive range of Bluetooth modules provides the highest level of integration enabling device manufacturers and OEMs to easily add wireless, secure and standard based connectivity into new or existing applications with minimum development, manufacturing and radio-regulatory certification efforts. Bluegiga Bluetooth modules are completely integrated, certified, high-performance Radio Frequency products including all needed Bluetooth profiles. There are currently fours different modules: WT32, WT21, WT12 and WT11, and more are developed continuously. They all have their own qualities, but have in common (except for WT21) Bluegiga’s custom firmware iWRAP. |
